Grooming Services

How is grooming different at Bubbly Petz?

We understand that grooming itself can be stressful, and we're big on helping pets thrive in grooming situations. Our team is made up of Low-Stress Handling Certified and Fear Free Certified professionals, and preventing and alleviating fear, stress and anxiety is the priority through our evidence-based approach. We take time to understand each and every dog's tolerance towards grooming, and customise our approach to encourage positive associations. 

For pets with behavioural challenges, we go with their pace instead of forcing them through a groom. We do not believe in aversive methods.

Potential stressors in the environment, such as the use of table loops/restraints are removed. We maintain a cage-free environment where each family of pets will roam separately from others. The number of appointments are capped each day to maintain a calmer space for our furry friends.

Can I watch my dog getting groomed?

Yes and you're encouraged to watch the entire grooming process at our holding spaces to know what's going on :) We do seek your cooperation in keeping movements minimal to avoid potentially triggering your pet (and other pets) during their grooming session.

What is the difference between Basic Grooming and Full Grooming and what does my dog need?

Basic grooming includes:

⌂ Nail clipping and filing

⌂ Ear cleaning

⌂ Shaving of fur on the underpaws, belly and sanitary areas

⌂ Bath, blow dry and combing

Full grooming includes all services stated in Basic grooming with an additional fur-styling.

How long does a typical grooming session takes?

Depending on your dog's size and level of acceptance towards grooming. Timings stated are a rough estimate:

Full Grooming

Small 1.5-2.5hrs | Medium 2-2.5hrs | Large 2.5hrs onwards

Basic Grooming

Small 0.5-1hr | Medium 1-1.5hrs | Large 1.5hrs onwards

What bath products do you use in the studio?

We mindfully select a range of gentle, no-nasties pet shampoos and conditioners that are plant-based & cruelty-free. They are generally gentle on the skin and we'll often pick the most suitable products according to the dog's skin condition. Feel free to ask our grooming specialists for the exact bath products used when you're in the studio.

If your dog has a vet-prescribed shampoo to be used, do bring along for the session.

How frequently should I schedule my dog for grooming?

My dog is reactive. Can you groom dogs with aggressive tendancies?

We feel your struggles and strive our best to help each and every dog that comes through our door. We can and have successfully groomed many dogs with behavioural challenges. As each dog is uniquely different, please reach out to us and discuss your concerns so we can better assess the situation. 

In order for grooming to happen, the minimum requirement is that you must be able to at least pick up your dog and in worst case scenarios, be able to put on a muzzle for your dog.

Please feel free to bring along your dog's favourite treats and items from home that they find comforting.

Do note that there may be a service fee of $20 onwards if we require extra additional resources to complete the grooming service for your dog.

My dog is sick/old and is unable to stand for prolonged periods. Are you able to groom my dog?

Many special needs pets has been and are entrusted to us over the years :) Do let us know during appointment booking if your dog is unable to stand or require special care, and we can plan additional time and manage the environment to cater for his/her needs.

My dog has sensitive skin and I’m quite concerned about the cleanliness of the grooming tools. Are your grooming tools sterile?

Tools are sterilised and contact surfaces disinfected between sessions with each animal client. You can be assured that we do not use dirty tools on your furry buddy.

I'm concerned about my dog getting exposed to ticks/contagious disease in a grooming facility. How can you ensure the health & safety of my dog?

The studio employs a strict Parasite-free and Infectious Disease policy where pets with issues pertaining to tick/flea infestation and contagious illnesses are directed to be groomed offsite. The studio upholds stringent daily disinfections to safeguard the health of both our team and our animal friends.

In what situations a grooming deposit is required?

When:

◦ Appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice

A deposit equivalent to your service is required to confirm your appointment slot. Deposit will be offset from the grooming bill, however in cases of no-show or last minute changes (24 hours before scheduled appointment), kindly understand that the deposit will be forfeited. We hope to encourage the practice of respect and consideration for others who are in need of an appointment :)

In the event where our groomers fall ill within the 24 hours window before your appointment and we're unable to make it for your pet's groom, we would priortise to offer the next best alternative to replace the session.

How long in advance should I book an appointment?

Due to the nature of our grooming slots (capped daily to minimise stressors for our furry clients), slots are usually booked in advance and it is advisable to book at least 6-8 weeks ahead.

Retail Products

How do you select what products to carry in your retail store?

We believe in treading as lightly as possible without compromising functionality & health. Our retail selection is carefully curated from brands across the globe that reflects our ideals - welfare-focused, cruelty-free, plant-based, made with clean no-nasties materials & ingredients, functional, good-looking, and kinder to the planet!

As such, you will never find anything that compromises the well-being of our animal friends such as chemically loaded products, cages, water bottles, electric collars and items that promote negative reinforcement. We also support home-grown brands and designers. While our range of products is limited, you can be sure that our products are selected with our pets’ health and well-being in mind and at the same time, doing what we can for the environment, animals and communities.

Are your pet grooming products cruelty-free?

Bath & grooming products we have in store and used for our grooming services are certified cruelty-free by Cruelty Free International and/or Beauty Without Bunnies

Are your products free from animal ingredients?

Yes! We gave our utmost best to make sure that all our products are ecologically-kinder in that sense - ensuring that none of our pet accessories are made from leather, wool, feathers and any other animal by-products.

Keeping our retail selection kind matters a lot to us and we strive the hardest to do so! If it comes to your attention that any of our products contain animal products, please do let us know immediately!

Shipping & Exchanges

Which day and time can I expect my items to be delivered to me?

Delivery will be made within 3-5 business days (Mon-Fri) between 8am-11pm (if your order is placed after 11am, the first business day starts the next business day). Timing for delivery is not fixed and depends on the courier's availability. If you require a fixed delivery timing do reach out to us via whatsapp at 96563786, we will arrange fixed time delivery at a fee.

Can I self-collect my purchases?

Yes, you can! Self-collection will be at 290R Joo Chiat Road S427542 during our operating hours.

Do you ship islandwide?

Yes we do provide islandwide delivery services except for these areas:

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do ship internationally. Please email us at info@bubbly-petz.com with the item of your interest and the full mailing address including postal code. We will get back to you on the total bill inclusive of international shipping and the mode of payment.

What is your exchange/return policy?

Exchanges are accepted due to manufacturing defects. Item(s) must be returned within 7 days of purchase in its original packaging and condition (unused & unsoiled). Kindly present the original invoice as proof of purchase from www.bubbly-petz.com
