Taiyaki Cat Postcard

These are commonly found desserts in Japan, I grew up eating copious amounts of these. Nowadays I enjoy dango with the sweet sticky soya sauce on it.

Taiyaki Cat - taiyaki is a eggy spongy snack that is filled with sweet red bean paste. They are best when freshly cooked - slightly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. There are modern takes on the taiyaki now and have many different fillings now, both savoury and sweet.
